About FortiZen Cyber Academy
Building The Next Generation Of Cybersecurity Professionals
What you’ll find in this story about FortiZen Cyber Academy is a simple reason for starting it: closing one specific gap in cybersecurity education. Most courses teach concepts, but very few put students in front of the same tools, alerts, and case files a working analyst deals with on a live shift. We built this academy around that difference — practical, hands-on training led by someone still active in the field, not a curriculum written once and repeated for years.
Real-World Cybersecurity Training
Learn practical skills through live labs, enterprise tools, and real-world security scenarios.
TRUSTED CYBERSECURITY TRAINING PARTNER
Learn Cybersecurity From Professionals Who Work In The Industry Every Day
At FortiZen, we believe cybersecurity education should be practical, relevant, and career-focused. Our training programmes are designed by experienced security professionals who actively work in Security Operations Centres (SOCs), threat intelligence teams, and incident response environments.
We focus on real-world scenarios, enterprise-grade tools, and hands-on labs that prepare students for actual cybersecurity roles rather than simply passing examinations.

Why FortiZen Was Started
FortiZen was built in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, out of a recurring problem seen across cybersecurity education: graduates finishing certification courses who still couldn’t confidently operate a SIEM dashboard, triage a real alert, or explain what they’d do in an actual incident. Certificates weren’t the missing piece — supervised, hands-on practice time was.
So the academy was structured around three things most courses skip: enterprise-grade tools instead of trial software, small batches with individual progress checks instead of one-size-fits-all pacing, and a direct path from classroom to career through structured placement support rather than a course that simply ends.

Meet the Trainer
Trained Directly by a Working SOC Analyst
FortiZen’s training is led by Naveen, who has spent over 6.5 years working in cybersecurity operations — covering threat monitoring, incident investigation, and day-to-day security analysis inside live Security Operations Centres. He’s still active in the field today, which means the scenarios brought into class come from current, real work rather than a syllabus written years ago and left unchanged.
Alongside that work, Naveen has spent over three years teaching, mentoring more than 800 students and helping over 200 of them move into cybersecurity roles — from mid-sized MSSPs to large enterprises. His teaching approach runs in three stages: plain-language grounding in networking and security fundamentals, hands-on time with the same tools used in live SOC environments, and — in the final stretch of every batch — focused work on resumes, mock technical interviews, and interview readiness.
Student Success & Career Outcomes
Our students have successfully transitioned into cybersecurity roles across various industries by applying the practical skills and methodologies learned through our training programmes.

Who FortiZen Trains
Built for Career Switchers as Much as Freshers
Most students who join FortiZen fall into one of three groups: engineering graduates with no cybersecurity background, professionals moving out of unrelated IT roles, and people returning to work after a career break. None of them need prior coding experience — the course is structured to start from first principles and build up.
